Week Idk Someone's Gotta Tell Me

Hello everyone.  This week has been really eventful. We had all saints day, transfers, and a lot inbetween haha.  All saints day was probably one of the most incredible things I have ever experienced. People light candles in memory of loved ones, soldiers, and those who lost their lives during war. It was a beautiful day. All of the missionaries in Warsaw (All ten of us) went to the church and street contacted ALL day. There was tons of foot traffice because the chapel is surrounded by cemetaries and memorials for world war II. We were blessed with the opportunity to go with one of out friends to light candles for his family, our families, and those who lost their lives during the war. We felt very blessed to be given such an opportunity.  Transfers happened, our trio is down to two (if you get that reference, I love you). Sister Dil and I have been given lots of unique service opportunities the past couple days. We feel grateful to have each other and God. Our district a...

Week 16?

Image
Hello everyone! The past two weeks have been amazing. The members here are truly incredible. They are such a light. The people of Poland in general are incredible people.  I feel so blessed to be serving here alongside such incredible people.  I've been blessed with some amazing opportunities to serve and get to know the Polish, Russian, and Ukrainian people.  Spiritual thought  A talk given by President Eyring called Prayers of Faith!!! It is such an incredible talk and here is one of my favourite quotes from it:)  "The experience of Enos has taught me the same precious lesson. When I pray with faith, I have the Savior as my advocate with the Father and I can feel that my prayer reaches heaven. Answers come. Blessings are received. There is peace and joy even in hard times." I promise that as we pray Heavenly Father hears us! He loves each of us:) and He seeks to bless us. Prayer can be transformational in our lives if we allow it to be:) I feel so blessed to b...

Week 11??12?? Nie Wiem

Image
Hello everyone!  I hope you are all doing well. This week was good. My companionship re-opened the area for proselating sisters so It has been a lot of ground up work. Which means a lot of contacting. Which turns out can be umm very fun.  We had a babcia approach us and was just the sweetest little thing then all of the sudden.... boom. She began to go off! We got Bible bashed. I was catching about every fifth word... but you didn't need to speak Polish to know she felt passionately about whatever she was talking about. She approached us and all we said was our names... and then we stood there for 12 minutes while she yelled at us... I was scared of my knees... you should've seen how she was swinging that cane...when we could finally get a word in to explain that we are foreign and our Polish is a work in progress... a switch flipped in her.  She instantly started to hug Me and say (in Polish) just how amazing I was and how much she loved me and how much God loves the bot...

Week 8

Image
hello! We are almost out of here. We have one week left until we are on a plane to Poland. Learning a language in nine weeks is kind of insane... very overwhelming. Next week will be crazy to be immersed in it. We are all so ready but also not at all hahaha so many mixed emotions. We just want to be able to communicate our message with people. With time and practice it will come.  We had an awesome devotional last night by Elder Nattress! I have so much to say about it. It was focused a lot on how the gospel is so personal and how we can be the best missionaries possible. So as usual... if you want to know more... email me:)  I love it when you guys do! I spent a lot of time with a talk given by Elder Christofferson called "The Love of God". I read and listened to it in both Polish and English... and went through breaking down the grammar in Polish.... I am glad I picked this talk to do that with because it is amazing! which brings me to my spiritual thought.  In this tal...

Week 7 :)

The weekare flying by!!! Our departure date got moved up (by one day... but it still moved up)! We have two weeks left... That is crazy. We met some new missionaries yesterday and the day has officially come... we leave the same day as the English speakers that came in yesterday! I can not believe it. It is such a scary but exciting thought.  It also means that we have really been locking down on Polish. Siostra Trost and I have been getting every single second that we can in.  Elder Gary E. Stevenson gave an incredible devotional last night. He focused on missionary work and the blessing and opportunity it is. I am not even in the field yet and I couldn't agree more. My love for Christ, God,and the scriptures has truly deepened already. I love every word he shared with us last night! You could feel his love and excitement for the gospel AND us.  The talks that both him and his wife gave were incredible! Email me if you want to hear more about it... Because WOW. Spiritual...

We Are Old (Week 6)

Image
Well... we are old now.  It has been a week of goodbyes. It started with our Spanish sisters next door... That was a very sad day and our hardest goodbye for sure. Then this week we have had to say bye to a lot of people we came in with. It started with the Spanish elders, then the Danish elders, and the two Slovenian elders from the Ukrainian district (They were supposed to be here the whole time with us but they are heading out to the field today, long story). We came in with all these people... It is so weird to see them all go. random note, but it's so weird because all the districts that I just mentioned (aside from the spanish) do not have a single sister. for what reason... I could not tell you. There are some languages that just have sisters, but I could not tell you why those ones didn't.  As sad as it is to see them go, I am so glad I have the remaining time that I do here. I can not imagine going into the field right now with the level of Polish I am at. Truly a ble...
