Week 8

hello!

We are almost out of here. We have one week left until we are on a plane to Poland. Learning a language in nine weeks is kind of insane... very overwhelming. Next week will be crazy to be immersed in it. We are all so ready but also not at all hahaha so many mixed emotions. We just want to be able to communicate our message with people. With time and practice it will come. 

We had an awesome devotional last night by Elder Nattress!

I have so much to say about it. It was focused a lot on how the gospel is so personal and how we can be the best missionaries possible. So as usual... if you want to know more... email me:) 

I love it when you guys do!

I spent a lot of time with a talk given by Elder Christofferson called "The Love of God". I read and listened to it in both Polish and English... and went through breaking down the grammar in Polish.... I am glad I picked this talk to do that with because it is amazing! which brings me to my spiritual thought. 

In this talk he says "As we abide in God's love, we depend less and less on the approval of others to guide us". I LOVED this statement, and it could not be more true. It has helped me a lot when it came to speaking in Polish this week. It is so scary to speak in front of everyone but this quote has changed my mind entirely. I know as I focus on my purpose and put all my trust in God and try to speak the language, that is all that matters. I do not need to worry about what others are thinking and that takes a lot of pressure off. 

I would encourage you all to go and listen to that talk. It is so awesome. 

That is about it for this week! Getting more and more emerged in the language and getting ready to head out to Poland!

1) got to eat lunch with this AMAZING couple (I'm sure some of you will recognize them ;))

2) as a district we finished two tubs of cereal.... 60 total bowls of cereal were consumed.... the girls ate 4 between the four of us hahaha the boys ate 6-9 bowls each.... barf

3) an elders notebook... we were talking about star wars and we renamed all the characters in Polish so they still sounded like their English names
