Week 7 :)
The weekare flying by!!!
Our departure date got moved up (by one day... but it still moved up)! We have two weeks left... That is crazy. We met some new missionaries yesterday and the day has officially come... we leave the same day as the English speakers that came in yesterday! I can not believe it. It is such a scary but exciting thought.
It also means that we have really been locking down on Polish. Siostra Trost and I have been getting every single second that we can in.
Elder Gary E. Stevenson gave an incredible devotional last night. He focused on missionary work and the blessing and opportunity it is. I am not even in the field yet and I couldn't agree more. My love for Christ, God,and the scriptures has truly deepened already. I love every word he shared with us last night! You could feel his love and excitement for the gospel AND us.
The talks that both him and his wife gave were incredible! Email me if you want to hear more about it... Because WOW.
Spiritual thought
Prayer is such a powerful gift! I know that to be true.
I listened to a talk given by Elder Christofferson (that my wonderful aunt sent me) that gave me so many more insights to prayer! He stated that our Heavenly Father is anxious to bless us, He is anxious for us to pray for more blessings. He also went on to say we control in some measure our blessings, our endowments from heaven. For me these were incredibly impactful statements. It allowed me to reflect on how I pray and ask for blessings. One of the thoughts I had was... if I wait until I am perfect to pray for blessings, I will never be able to ask for blessings that God ANXIOUSLY waits to give me. It is the same for all of us.
Again, I have a lot more thoughts that I would love to share, so if you want to hear some or talk about it... email me:)
Amazing Scripture
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my bpeace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be ctroubled, neither let it be afraid.
I am so grateful to be here. It has already been a life altering experience. (and as Elder Stevenson said) it is a blessing to be able to look forward to the rest of my mission.
