Mission Conference!

Witam w 2025 roku!

This week didn't feel real! We went to Warsaw for a two day Mission conference, December 31st and January 1st. It was so much fun to see everyone and grow together spiritually. Siostra Atkinson, Andrews, and I were asked to give a presentation about what we learned on our mission. I love these two sisters with my whole heart and I am grateful that we have been able to serve the past year and a half together. I've learned so much from them.

It is tradition in our mission to give a final testimony at your last zone conference and this mission conference was my last one. As I stood in front of everyone to bear my testimony it didn't feel real. I don't know how I got to this point. It went by way too fast. I bore testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ and how His atonement has changed me this past year and a half. I will probably share more about this at my homecoming so I'll leave you on a cliff hanger until then. I almost got through it without crying and then I saw sister andrews crying and a couple other missionaries and I couldn't help but cry.

Then sister andrews got up after me to share her testimony… I bawled like a little baby. I couldn't help but think about how proud of her I am and how grateful I am for God putting us together in the times I truly needed her. Then sister Atkinson got up and the tears didn't slow down. She has also changed my life so much. We served a big portion of our mission in the same areas. She is the most christlike person I've ever met. I am so grateful for the amazing people God has put into my life throughout my mission.

The rest of the conference was so much fun. We did a white elephant gift exchange… I'll attach a picture of what I opened up. Definitely top 10 most ironic/funny moments of my mission. We also did a talent show as districts. My district was lacking talent so we decided to sing a Polish Christmas song accapella… none of us are singers. It was hard to sing with a straight face.

Our mission president let us watch movie all together. We watched “escape germany”. It was about how all the missionaries got out of Germany right before world War 2 started in Poland. It was a very good movie.

The best part of zone conference was seeing all my friends I've made on my mission, especially those who I served with in the office. We had a little reunion and all drank energy drinks together to help us stay awake for midnight. (See picture below) As a mission we celebrated new years at the chapel and watched fireworks outside when it hit midnight.

The rest of this week was so good. People are finally wanting to meet with us now that the holidays are over. The work is picking up and time is flying!

I have been so blessed by God on my mission by the people He has put into my life. I love this quote from President Kimball, ”God does notice us, and he watches over us. But it is usually through another person that he meets our needs.” This has been so true as time and time again I have found answers to my prayers through the people God has put into my life. God loves us and He knows us perfectly. I am grateful for you all and that God has put you into my life.

Kocham Was,

Siostra Trost
