A Lot Of Tears
Dzień dobry!
This week was so good. We had mission conference This week which was incredible. It was so good seeing all the missionaries I've served with and spending time with them.
We got to watch escape from Germany (10/10 recommend)... before which we kicked off the night with a monster with the former office crew.
Sister trost, Atkinson, and I gave our final presentation.... od babć...
Putting our mission experience into four slides with them was so much fun and honestly just incredible. It is so cool to see where our missions have taken us and how far we have all come and will continue to go because of our experiences here and with the saviour.
We were all also able to share our final testimonies... that was far more emotional than I was anticipating... sister trost went first. Instantly sister gliske turned to me and goes "that was a mistake because now you're already gonna be crying by the time you go up"... she was not wrong... I was infact sobbing about three seconds into sister trost speaking. I am so proud of her and honestly just so grateful that God knows us all so well because he knew the times when I needed her the most and truly he sent me a sister.
Sister trost shared a beautiful testimony about the atonement of jesus christ. I've seen her apply it in a variety of circumstances and she truly has become a living epistle of christ. I look up to her.
Then it was my turn... I couldn't tell you much of what I said except for the fact that I couldn't see anything because I just could not stop crying. I am so grateful to God for the opportunity I have had to serve. He has blessed me in more ways than I ever thought possible. The love and gratitude I have for my saviour and for serving a mission is beyond what I thought possible.
Sister Atkinson shared a beautiful testimony as well. That girl is joy in human form and the most christlike person. She radiates unconditional love. I just love her.
Its been such an honour to serve with both of these sisters. I look up to them both.
Another shout out to sister gliske though... after we were all done sharing our testimonies there was a beautiful music number followed by us singing our last hymn with all the missionaries... and sister trost and I were literally sobbing... poor sister gliske... literally a new missionary on death row with trost and I... she was the goat and got us through it haha.
The rest of the week was amazing. We had MLC and were able to having an amazing discussion about how Obedience brings joy. We were also able to discuss the baptismal goal for the year. It is so cool to see how the spirit works.
We finally got to the new area on Friday and we have just been teaching ever since. We had soooo many back to back lessons yesterday and honestly it was so much fun. Teaching people about christ and helping them build their relationship with him and find joy.... the coolest thing ever.
I just honestly can not express the joy serving a mission has brought me. I love God. I love Jesus.
Alma 36:20
And oh, what joy, and what marvelous light I did behold; yea, my soul was filled with joy as exceeding as was my pain!
God loves and and wants to bless us!!! We can truly find joy in and through Christ.
I love you all and hope you have a great week
