God Is JOY
Cześć Cześć!
This week was really good!
We had transfers which were good and welcomed a new sister to the mission. But this new transfer is bringing a lot of lasts... and that is so scary. Last night sister trost and I had our last general conference as missionaries... that was so sad. I can not believe how fast time is going...17 weeks left.... what on EARTH. That does not seem real. Anyways other than that horrifying realisation...
My friend Asia from my previous city came to visit!!! We got to spend some time with her answering gospel questions and talking about our personal relationship with God! I just love her and am so grateful we got to spend some time with her.
We watched general conference with the office! We made a lot of fun food. sister trost and I found the BEST cinnamon bun recipe... so that was a highlight for sure haha.
Yesterday We were able to go visit a member named Basia. She lives in a help home... which those are always so sad to go into. She talked to us for so long about the royal family. I couldn't help but smile the whole time because it is exactly what happens at any opportunity in my family.
This week has been (as usual) a lot of reflection on the gospel of Jesus Christ. The fact that we have a Heavenly Father who seeks to communicate with us is... wow. He really answers our prayers and knows unique situations in our individual lives. It is so cool to be able to talk with people about this day in and day out and see the unique ways the Lord knows them.
He answers our prayers in so many ways. This week He has answered mine through scripture, words of our living prophet and apostles, and through those I am surrounded by. It does not mean He answers all of our questions exactly when we want or when we think we need them. But he does and will, and in the meantime... We can see His loving hand ever present and in the details.
I feel like I say this every letter. But I am just so grateful to have chosen to serve a mission. It has changed me and allowed me to develop lifelong patterns to continue to grow closer to my Saviour. If you are thinking about serving a mission,GO! It is the best choice you could ever make.
2 Nephi 4
19 And when I desire to rejoice, my heart groaneth because of my sins; nevertheless, I know in whom I have trusted.
20 My God hath been my support; he hath led me through mine afflictions in the wilderness; and he hath preserved me upon the waters of the great deep.
21 He hath filled me with his love, even unto the consuming of my flesh.
God is just so good. The application of His gospel in my life has brought me such joy and I know it can bring you the same.
I always love receiving all of your emails! They make me so happy. I hope you all have the best week.
Siostra Andrews:)
