Get A Room

Hello everyone!! 

This week will be a bit of a shorter email! Nothing crazy this week. 

I will start by saying... people here think their decks are an extension of their apartment... its made for some very unpleasant mornings to say the least. 

One miracle I want to highlight this week is kornel! He got baptised three weeks ago and its been amazing to see the way he has changes since then. Before his baptism he struggled with some major mental health problems. Since being baptised and receiving the gift of the holy ghost the man has literally been joyful! He can not stop smiling and saying how good life if. Elder Larson gave him a white shirt and tie yesterday and oh my goodness Kornel was so happy. He kept just looking at his shirt and tie and just smiling. 

He is so eager to keep following Jesus. He is truly the best example of enduring with joy!

I guess a few fun things that happened were being able to speak in a few different languages. 

We got a call from this random number and she was speaking to us in English but she was having a hard time understanding us. So I took the phone and started to speak French to her...why... i dont know... let me tell you... its not what it use to be hahaha. But it was cool I was able to have a conversation with her about who we are and she wasn't interested but she was so kind and so excited to talk :) 

We had the same thing happen but in Russian... now my Russian consists of a whole lot of nothing... but I was able to convey that we were missionaries that don't speak that much Russian and would send them to missionaries that did haha! And then finally spanish... I've actually learned a lot of Spanish through my mission and so I was able to talk with a refferal we got sadly he was not interested butttt on Sunday we had a couple come in who only spoke Spanish so I talked with them for awhile until I ran out of vocabulary (about five minutes into the conversation 🤣) all that translating from polish to Spanish (in Google translate) in warsaw is paying off. 

All jokes aside it was really cool to see the lord work in those moments. We had a message that needed to be conveyed and the Lord made it happen. It was very humbling. The fact that these people could understand and have the patience to listen was a miracle. None of that would have been possible without the hand of the Lord. 

This week the social media sisters stayed with us and that was super fun! I loved seeing them! Especially being able to be with my MTC comp sister trost was fun! I love her. 

It was fun to see a few of your pictures from the temple this week! I loved seeing them:) 

This weeks spiritual thought; 

A large focus of mine has been prayer this week! I've really been loving reading in Ether and learning about the brother of Jared. 

The principle of prayer that we learn here is incredible! 

We can be and are invited to be direct when communicating with our Heavenly Father.  He knows what we need but we must ask:) 

When we ask He is so ready to poor blessings out upon us!!!

Ether 1:43

  And there will I bless thee and thy seed, and raise up unto me of thy seed, and of the seed of thy brother, and they who shall go with thee, a great nation. And there shall be none greater than the nation which I will raise up unto me of thy seed, upon all the face of the earth. And thus I will do unto thee because this long time ye have cried unto me.

Alma 34:28 

  And now behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you, do not suppose that this is all; for after ye have done all these things, if ye turn away the needy, and the naked, and visit not the sick and afflicted, and impart of your substance, if ye have, to those who stand in need—I say unto you, if ye do not any of these things, behold, your prayer is vain, and availeth you nothing, and ye are as hypocrites who do deny the faith.

When we are diligent in prayer and deed. God blesses us:) we must take go and DO and then with peace know God will fulfill His plan and promises.
