Szczęśliwego Nowego Roku :)
Hello everyone! I hope everyone had an amazing week.
This week was good. We only had a few lessons this week because of the holidays. Which also made contacting people pretty difficult. But we made the most of it that we could!
We went caroling with our district which was a highlight! We had a lady throw chocolate to us from her window. We went and sang to a member as well.... which is a funny story. He was so tender... he had a traditional apple cake waiting for us... all 11 of us. When we were done singing he made sure that all of us ate something. I was so full from dinner I couldn't.... but he insisted... and so did the other missionaries. I knew I was not gonna be able to leave without eating. So I mentally prepared myself for more food... but then as the plate lands in my lap of a thankfully small piece of cake... a spoon is placed in my hand... he only had so many spoons to give... as I looked at the spoon I realized what had just happened. I look at the other missionaries a few had looks of concern... others are trying to stop themselves from laughing. I was just given elder Ellsworths spoon. It still had some of his food on it. So I weighed the options... I could use my hands and look like a rude, ungrateful slob. Or I could use the spoon that was very generously given to me. I wish I could say I didn't think twice... but I did. I stared at the spoon and my food for about five minutes weighing my options. Now... this may not seem like a big deal... but listen if my brother takes a sip of my drink... it is now his drink. I... sharing a spoon.... no never. That is criminal. As I ate I couldn't look up because nearly all of us were trying to stop ourselves from laughing. For a second there I was just trying not to gag.
Coincidentally... I am sick now and have been banished to my apartment until further notice.
Other than that this week was pretty uneventful. We are looking forward to two of our friends getting baptized on Saturday:)
I feel pretty not great right now so I'm sorry this email is kind of random
But I just want to take a second to bear my testimony.
I'm so grateful for the restored gospel of jesus christ. The Book of Mormon and the Bible have changed my life and I have seen them change the lives of others. I know that God speaks to us through the holy spirit. I am grateful for the power of prayer and the transformative power that has had in my life.
I love you all and hope you have an amazing week. I'm sorry if I still haven't emailed you back, I'm working my way through them:)
I love and appreciate you all!
