Week 28!

Dzień dobry!  How is everyone doing!  This week was good. I feel like it all passed in a blur. Lots of visiting people in their homes which means hours of traveling because everything in Warsaw is so far! But it has been super fun. Also a lot of STL work which I have really enjoyed. I love being able to talk with our sisters!  We hung out a lot with our friend Niels! We are starting to talk a bit more with his roommates... one is a bit tricky though cause he only speaks Russian. These guys are so incredible. The way they look after eachother, they are truly brothers. Which is so incredible to see because Niels can not speak the tiniest bit of Russian, Ukrainian, or Polish... (which he always says he never needed to in the army  because " "ow" looks the same in every language" he's not wrong.) But nevertheless, they take such good care of him and they all love eachother so much. They've all been through so much. One of the buddies won't really talk about ...

Six Months!

I know I know... two emails in one day... but that last one was last weeks.  This week was awesome.  We had exchanges which are always so busy for us. We did one with the social sisters and then the Lublin sisters. Thankfully they were both in Warsaw, so no traveling. It's hard when we have ti go other places cause it's literally a trip across the country, so the one day exchange takes three. But I love exchanges. We get to learn so much. This week I especially loved being with Siostra Gay. She was in my mtc group. It was like being home. It was so awesome. We had a great day serving together.  This week went to a members house who finally likes me!! She isn't fond of those who's Polish is not great. BUT, I spoke a good chunk of the spiritual thought and she smiled the entire time and gave me chocolate and oranges after. She almost put me into a diabetic coma with how kuch orange juice she was forcing me to drink. But it was worth it, she likes me :) Finally, we hung ou...

Week 26

Hello everyone I can't believe it's been six months!  Wow.  This week has been very fun but also very sobering. We got to lead exchanges in Bydgoszcz and then bring in some sisters to Warsaw. We have another two exchanges this week so It will be another very busy week.  We also had the baptism of the tio family on Saturday. I am so excited for them. It's been a massive blessing to be able to teach them.  It's funny how there can be themes to weeks.... this week the theme was busy, fun, and then the reality of the war was brought to light. It's funny living in a world where we get literally no news. The only thing we get is what we hear from home.... which is most of the time nothing. This week we had dinner with two of our Ukrainian families and then went to visit a soldier who has been fighting there the last two years. My heart is torn apart for these families and this soldier... I just. It is devastating. I have no words and I wish I could say more about these ex...

Week 25

Hello everyone:)  This week was pretty good!  Sister dil and I finally got allowd out of our apartment on tuesday afternoon and we had appointments that night with members! This week was a lot of STL work which was super awesome. Because I got sick we have to do all of our exchanges in a row which will no doubt be exhausting but it will be good.  We had our first mission leadership Council this week. It was awesome to get to see some of my friends! President however thought he would dedicate five minutes of our meeting to discussing as to why my nick name is mabel and the content of my mums Facebook page... so that was an awesome group discussion we got to have with the council.  The tio family is getting baptised on Saturday! We are so excited for them. They are just the best.  My spiritual thought of the week comes from alma 18:8-9  "Where is the man that has such great power? And they said unto him: behold, he is feeding thy horses." I love this because ...
